Climate Impact
Our Mission
The purpose of this group is to create a forum that helps facilitate progress, innovation and scaling up for viable solutions in the climate action space. Members can leverage the forum to debate and solve business problems through a) the depth of experience and domain / functional expertise other members bring to the table b) the power of our respective networks ( where applicable and possible) and c) collective brainstorming and ideation. A corollary could be for members to share thought leadership and best practices seen elsewhere that could be relevant to this group. Collectively, this could become a source of knowledge and resources to facilitate action in this space.
Our mission as a group is to mobilize collective action through practice-research collaborations and outreach programs that fuel efforts for climate action initiatives and solutions at different scales, both small and large. We aim to bring together interdisciplinary perspectives and cross functional experiences to contribute to knowledge sharing as well as meaningful problem solving initiatives for various aspects of climate mitigation and adaptation efforts. The climate crisis is a symptom of systems level phenomena and will require collaborative efforts across a wide range of private as well as public societal actors to bring about the necessary change to achieve IPCC recommended net-zero goals by 2050 in an attempt to limit the increase in global temperatures within the 1.5 – 2° C mark.
Request to join
We all solve problems through collaboration by leveraging communities. The communities we most often tap into are our extended family (often for personal aspects), our friends, our alumni networks from educational institutes, our colleagues at work. Each of these resources is a brain trust we have access to. We welcome you to join us especially if you are currently actively engaged in the Climate Ecosystem and are willing to contribute towards knowledge creation for practice and research.
Please reach out if you are looking for collaborative efforts to address climate related issues within your context, at any scale.
